Gratitude

Blessed are the little things that speak directly to our hearts.Blessed are the expected things with which we inhale every day. Blessed are the surprising things that teach us new ways of being. Blessed is this life, these wondrous passing minutes of fantastical play in a field of magic and form. Blessed are you, and there has never been a better moment to give thanks for your hearts unconditional loving kindness that you eternally offer to your beautiful self. Gratitude for all things big and small.

With love, in joy, Genevieve

They Shall Know Our Velocity

It will come like a wave, like a tsunami.

Some will have expected it, many will be surprised.

They won't be able to pretend they cannot see,

they won't be able to turn a blind eye,

they will not be able to keep their feet dry as the energy swells like the rising tide.

We will stand still and quiet no more.

The earth will rumble beneath us as we shake her inhabitants out of complacency,

out of apathy,

out of the stagnant oppression and violence that demeans us all.

We the women of this world,

we the sexy,

strong,

beautiful,

intelligent,

kind,

passionate,

fierce,

heartfelt,

healing,

healers,

mothers,

daughters,

sisters,

lovers,

survivors,

angry,

committed,

progressive,

active,

we,

will dance!

We will dance to say I love me,

I love you,

I love life,

I value life,

I value and embody the essence of femininity,

I value my power,

I value my weakness,

I value.

Today the world will know our velocity.

Today we will rise.

10.7.12

Golden rays of waning light,

salute the seasons past,

when the earth pushed forth,

her abundant wealth,

and nourished all, whom upon her sat.

An apple ripened on the tree,

from bloom to bud to grown,

a worm whose appetite the apple agreed to meet,

and upon its skin hath grown,

a blemish of beauty.

Oh graceful autumn,

I bow my head to thee,

may I too turn toward the dark and mystery,

shining bright, exuding golden rays,

with grace and dignity,

and love upon my breast,

its vision in my gaze.
